Native To
The European White Elm is a large tree native to Europe, from France, east Netherlands, Finland, east beyond the Urals into Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and southeast to Bulgaria and the Crimea.

Height & Age
It can grow up to 40 meters and may reach an age of 250 years.

Fruits & Flowers
The fruits of the Elm are roundish samaras and the seed is located in the middle. The Elm supports other plants and animals, including rare butterflies and birds.

Fun Fact
This tree is found in floodplains and along river banks and tolerates longer flooding phases very well. The Elm is able to withstand around 100 days of flooding! (Very useful in countries like the Netherlands)
